Objectives and Scope
Focus and Aim
Jurnal MESIL (Mesin Elektro Sipil) aims to disseminate research findings and scholarly analyses that contribute to the development of knowledge, methods, design, analysis, and technological applications in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Civil Engineering, and related engineering fields. The journal prioritises submissions that clearly define an engineering problem, use defensible methods, present relevant results, and make a scholarly or practical contribution.
Areas of scope
- Mechanical Engineering: machine design and analysis, manufacturing, production processes, engineering materials, thermal and fluid engineering, energy and energy conversion, maintenance, reliability, tribology, mechatronics, and automation related to mechanical systems.
- Electrical Engineering: electric power systems, electrical machines, electronics, power electronics, control systems, instrumentation, measurement, automation, robotics, embedded systems, telecommunications, renewable energy, and energy efficiency.
- Civil Engineering: structures, construction materials, geotechnical engineering, foundations, transportation, water resources, hydraulics, drainage, construction management, construction technology, and infrastructure maintenance.
- Related engineering fields may be considered when a substantive connection to at least one of MESIL’s core disciplines is clearly demonstrated and the technical contribution is relevant to the journal’s aims.
Scope boundaries
A manuscript that only mentions these disciplines in passing, does not establish an engineering connection, or does not provide assessable methods and contributions may be considered out of scope. The editor determines scope suitability based on the journal’s aims and the content of the submission.
